Great place for breakfast and good coffee. Delicious toasted sangas (smoked salmon and cream cheese nom nom), eggs. Friendly staff and nice spot in the sun to start a day of riding.

Excellent cafe tucked away a small central Otago village called Nasby whole lot of choices of where to eat but that is absolutely no problem when you’ve got this cafe! We popped in for brekky as we were staying on a nearby property for a couple of nights. We were greeted by very friendly staff and a large open cafe with a variety of seats and a lovely wood fire. The menu has a few options, but there are also fresh cakes, wraps, and sandwiches on offer. I opted for the corn fritters and my partner the savory waffles, and they were both excellent in every way! Tasty, beautifully presented, fresh, and great serving sizes. The coffee was also great. I would highly recommend it!

Very nice. From early in the morning we found the fire blazing in this Clean and popular Cafe in Nasbey. The ownership has changed twice since it won the high accolades of best cafe in NZ, however it certainly feels like it's in good hands in terms of the food. We had breakfast. Eggs bene and eggs on toast. Both with bacon as an add on. It was really nice and the offer too was great. The cakes and.savory offerings on display looked wonderful. The only thing missing was a warm smile without invitation. There was no rudeness at all, and when I communicated with 3 staff during the visit they all responded well. There just lacked that open greeting from those naturally placed front of house I hospo. Well worth a visit though.

Lovely country rustic place. We had the homemade lamb pie, and two toasted sandwiches, both of which I can recommend. The coffee was also good and teaspoons and sugar were available on the tables. The facilities were clean and functional.

5.0 stars in all categories. Kirsty et al . Home baked excellence. Portions generous. Coffee veritable barista. Tidy comfortable premises. Easy parking. Friendly welcoming efficient service. Better than 99% of Auckland Wellington CHCH. Naseby. Otago take a bow.

Wonderful cafe! From the moment we walked in the door we were warmly greeted and felt welcome. The cafe has a fire going on cold days, art on the walls and the coffee and food were superb. The staff were smiling and helpful and there was an impressive range of cabinet food. We highly recommend visiting the Black Forest Cafe - Naseby
